Star Labs warrants the product to be free from defects in materials and workmanship when used normally for the applicable Warranty Period from the date of retail purchase.
Star Labs does not provide any warranties for the battery life, as all rechargeable batteries can lose charging capacity over time, which is not considered a defect. Your actual battery life will vary depending on how you use it.
You are eligible for Limited Warranty support for 1-year, commencing upon the date of retail purchase of your product ("Warranty Period"). All new Products will have the Warranty Periods listed above, subject to local law.
Star Labs does not offer a warranty for third-party products. A separate warranty from the manufacturer may cover third-party products, and the product manufacturer exclusively provides these warranty terms. Please consult the product documentation provided by the product manufacturer for details. Please contact the manufacturer if you need warranty support with your third-party product.
Contact us by chat, email or phone to advise us of the issue. Depending on the problem, we can ship parts if you are happy to fit them, as this is usually quicker. Otherwise, send the laptop back to us, and we will fix it and ship it back – typically on the same day.
We offer a collect and return service, which is usually significantly cheaper than shipping the laptop.
Star Labs must identify that the product falls within the Limited Warranty period. We must also verify that you purchased the product from an authorised seller. For this, you must provide proof of purchase.
Proof of Purchase
For any Limited Warranty claim, we require Proof of Purchase. A Proof of Purchase is can be one of the following:
- A dated sales receipt from an authorised Star Labs Reseller
- An official order confirmation email from Star Labs
- An order number from starlabs.systems
*Star Labs reserves the right to take any action to protect itself against all forms of suspicious claims, including, without limitation, requiring further verification of identity and details of the claimant and qualifying purchases as well as debarment of the claim.
We do not offer an extended warranty. We offer a chargeable repair service for all our systems, which usually costs less than an extended warranty.
Your order will also receive coverage from the Star Labs Limited Warranty. This coverage operates alongside and in addition to your statutory rights under UK consumer law.
Should your product be defective or if it does not conform with the contract of sale, you can choose to claim under UK consumer law or the Star Labs Limited Warranty.
