StarLite - Grade "B"
The Lite has always been known for perfectly balancing power, weight and portability. We created the Star Lite Mk IV to continue this legacy whilst improving usability with a matte display, open-source coreboot firmware and longer battery life.
Our Grade B products are brand new and have minor imperfections, such as pixel defects or small scratches. There are fully functional and come with our standard 1-year warranty and 14-day returns policy.
Keyboard Language
English (UK)
You can configure your StarLite - Grade "B" with the keyboards listed. All Linux distributions we offer pre-installed will prompt you to select your input language the first time you turn it on. You can also change this in the future from the Settings window. Currently, we aren't able to offer any additional or custom layouts. Please subscribe to our newsletter to be notified when new options are available.
Processor
Intel Pentium N5030
Your StarLite - Grade "B" will come with a 1.1GHz quad-core Intel Pentium N5030 processor, Burst up to 3.1GHz by default. The processor is on-board, so you will not be able to upgrade it at a later date.
Memory
8GB
Your StarLite - Grade "B" will come with 8GB 2400MHz memory by default. The memory is onboard, so you cannot upgrade it at a later date.
Storage
240GB SSD
Your StarLite - Grade "B" will come with 240GB SATA OP SSD storage by default, which features a sequential read speed of up to 560MB/s. Over-provisioning increases performance and IOPS (Input/Output Operations per Second) whilst enhancing reliability and endurance. You can upgrade or replace the SSD; this requires a small Philips screwdriver.
Firmware
American Megatrends
Your StarLite - Grade "B" will support American Megatrends (AMI) Aptio V and coreboot firmware. Comparing AMI Aptio V to coreboot; it is closed-source and has many features, including Secure Boot and capsule updates. coreboot is open-source and very lightweight, allowing faster boot time and less power consumption. By default, the Intel ME is disabled on both coreboot and AMI. You can can switch between AMI and coreboot firmware anytime, as often as you want.
Operating System
Ubuntu LTS 22.04.02
The StarLite - Grade "B" is built specifically for Linux. You can choose from a selection of pre-installed distributions, including Ubuntu, elementary OS, Linux Mint, Manjaro and Zorin OS. If you prefer something else, you can choose to have no operating system installed; we publish test reports for various distributions to demonstrate compatibility. You can easily change the installed Linux distribution using a USB flash drive.

Your StarLite - Grade "B" will charge via the USB-C port or the DC Jack and comes with a 65W USB-C charger. It includes one detachable plug, and you choose from UK, Europe, Australia and the USA. You can purchase additional plugs.
Charge Cable
USB-C 3.1 (2m)
Your StarLite - Grade "B" will include a USB-C to DC Jack Charge Cable (2m) by default. You can select alternative charging cables. These are available in either 2-metre or 5-metre lengths with either USB-C or DC Jack connectors. USB-C cables support power, video output and data transfer, whereas DC Jack cables only support power. Both cables charge at the same speed; which cable suits you best will depend on which external devices you plan to connect. We have a full range of accessories available.

Your StarLite - Grade "B" will come with everything you need. We have accessories such as recovery drives, which you can use to recover or re-install the Operating System. We have a full range of accessories available.
